Fred Kaps was possibly the greatest magician the Netherlands has ever produced. I was never terribly enthusiastic about his work until I saw him do the famous Chinese Sticks trick. I suppose I had hardly taken much notice of him until that time. It seems I missed something! Anyway I came across this clip devoted to his work. I think it will be of great interest to magic aficionados.

British Pathe News
There are quite a few video clips of old time magicians on this site. Here is rather a famous one by the name of Arnold De Biere. He was particularly well known for his rendition of the egg bag trick. I do this trick myself and it is one of my favourites. Anyway here is Arnold at work.

Frank Garcia
I have been neglecting this blog lately mainly because I can’t think of anything to write. However it just dawned on me that a way to solve this problem is simply to post videos of various magicians until I can think of something useful to say. Here is a pretty good magician by the name of Frank Garcia. I hope you will enjoy his work.
My Favourite Pickpocket
I was originally going to post a video of Rudolfo a fantastic Hungarian pickpocket and magician but alas the clip has been taken down. Instead I shall post another of my favourite pickpockets the amazing Potassy whom I have admired for decades. Here he is on Spanish television. I do hope you can speak Spanish but I think you will still enjoy it even if you don’t.
Slydini on Dick Cavett Show
This is a real gem. It is a 30 minute show from the incomparable Slydini, master of close up magic.
More Slydini
Here is another Slydini video. I rather like this one despite it being in Black and White. This is from French television:
Slydini again!
Here he is once more. I actually do this trick myself quite frequently!

Here is one of my favourite magicians at work on the Dick Cavett show. The trick is known as the Helicopter Card Trick. Enjoy:
